● Why book through us

Better than Sailogy, Don Blue, or Click&Boat?

It's a real place, not a marketing name. Most "Blue Lagoon" listings online are vague — they're talking about the Panteronisi channel between Antiparos and Despotiko. The water there really does look like a swimming pool. Sandy bottom, shallow, sheltered from wind by the surrounding islands.

Time it right. The lagoon gets busy 12-3pm in peak season — group catamarans converge from Naousa, Paroikia, and Antiparos. Best timing: 10am-12pm or after 4pm. Our skippers know the rhythm.

Pair with Despotiko archaeology. If you're going to the Blue Lagoon, walk the Despotiko Apollo sanctuary while you're there. It's a 5-minute boat hop away, free to access (limited paths but visible ruins), and you'll be one of maybe 30 people there. Most Blue Lagoon trippers skip it. They shouldn't.

Common questions.

Where exactly is the Blue Lagoon?+

On a tiny islet called Panteronisi (sometimes called Panteronisia, plural — there are technically two small islets). It sits in the channel between Antiparos and Despotiko. Coordinates: roughly 36.96° N, 25.00° E. Only reachable by boat.

Why is the water that color?+

Shallow water (1-3m deep), pure white sandy bottom, and bright Mediterranean sunlight together produce that bright turquoise color. Same effect as Caribbean reef shallows. Not Photoshopped.

How long should I plan for the boat trip?+

Half-day (4 hours) is enough for the Blue Lagoon plus one or two beach stops. Full-day (8 hours) lets you add Despotiko's archaeological site, Glaronisi sea caves, and 2-3 more swim stops. Most travelers do a full day.

Should I depart from Naousa or Alyki?+

Alyki marine on Paros's south coast is closer to the Blue Lagoon — about 30 minutes by boat. Naousa is further (1 hour each way). Most operators we work with offer both pickups; we'll route you to whichever is closer to your accommodation.

Is the Blue Lagoon crowded?+

In peak July-August, yes — 1-3pm is the rush hour. Best timing for fewer crowds: 10am-12pm (early), or after 4pm. June, September, and October are far less crowded.

Can I snorkel?+

Yes — most operators include snorkel gear (mask, fins). The sandy bottom isn't great for snorkeling fish-watching, but the rocks at the edges of the channel have small fish. Glaronisi caves (full-day route) is better for snorkeling than the lagoon itself.

Are there facilities on Despotiko?+

No. Despotiko is uninhabited — no toilets, no shop, no shade beyond a few stunted trees. Bring water, sunscreen, hat. The boat has a restroom (for cabin cruiser/yacht options).

Can I do this from Antiparos directly instead of Paros?+

Yes. Antiparos's main port has its own operators. Same boats, same routes, often slightly cheaper because you skip the cross-channel positioning. If you're staying on Antiparos, depart from there. If you're staying on Paros, depart from Alyki or Naousa.

What's the best time of year?+

Late June through early September for swim weather. May and October are still pleasant but cooler in the water. Peak crowds: late July through mid-August. Sweet spot: mid-June and mid-September.
