Antiparos is the small, calm sister island to Paros — and the gateway to Despotiko, Panteronisi, and the Blue Lagoon. Most boat trips depart from Paros (Alyki marine, 15-min boat ride away) and visit all three in a single day.
Pickup from Alyki marine on Paros (closest port to Antiparos), or from Antiparos main port if you're already on the island.
May – October. Peak July & August.

Just west of Antiparos. Active archaeological site, empty beaches, no road access — only by boat.
Tiny islet between Antiparos and Despotiko. Shallow turquoise channel, signature Cycladic swim spot.
Sea caves on the islet of Glaronisi. Snorkel the cave entrances, photograph the light.
Land-based but pairs with the boat trip. One of Europe's oldest tourist caves.
Despotiko is the unspoiled Cyclades. No hotels, no road, no ferries — just an active archaeological site (recently excavated Apollo sanctuary), empty beaches, and crystal-clear water. Most travelers don't even know it exists. Going there feels like discovering Greece 30 years ago.
Timing matters at the Blue Lagoon. Panteronisi gets crowded between 1-3 PM in peak season. The trick is to arrive 10am-12pm before the day-cruise crowd, or after 4pm when most groups have left. We brief skippers to time it right.
Fewer crowds than Mykonos boat rentals. Antiparos draws a quieter crowd. Lower prices, same Cycladic beauty, far fewer Instagram-driven crowds. If Mykonos feels too peak-summer for you, Antiparos is the answer.

No. Despotiko is uninhabited and has no ferry service. The only way to visit is by private boat or as part of a day-cruise from Paros or Antiparos.
Between Antiparos and Despotiko — on a tiny islet called Panteronisi (or sometimes 'Panteronisia,' plural, since there are technically two small islets). Shallow turquoise water, sandy bottom, almost no current. Snorkel-friendly.
Most travelers depart from Alyki marine on Paros — the closest port to Antiparos and Despotiko. If you're staying on Antiparos itself, you can depart from Antiparos main port instead. Same operators, similar pricing.
Half-day (4 hours): hits Panteronisi + a beach stop on Antiparos. Full-day (8 hours): adds Despotiko (with a chance to walk the archaeological site if it's open), Glaronisi sea caves, and 2-3 swim stops.
It's an active dig site with limited public access. The boat anchors offshore, and you can usually walk the visible ruins from the beach. There are no facilities (no toilets, no shop, no shade) so bring water and a hat.
Yes — most operators include light snacks and drinks, with a full lunch (Greek salad, sandwiches, fruit, sometimes grilled fish) as an upgrade for €15-30 per person. You can also bring your own food.
Yes. The shallow sandy bottom of Panteronisi reflects sunlight upward through the water, creating that signature Caribbean-blue color. Same effect at certain Despotiko beaches. It's not Photoshop.
Less than Mykonos. The Antiparos channel is sheltered from the worst of the meltemi by Paros itself. Even on windy days, the Blue Lagoon side is usually calm. Captains adapt routes to conditions.
