June weather across Greece
Athens runs 18-30°C in June. Early June still feels spring-like; by late June it's summer. The sea hits 22-23°C — comfortable swimming for everyone. Rain is rare (1-2 days the entire month). Humidity is low — Mediterranean dry heat, not tropical.
Islands warm faster than the mainland. Cyclades reach 25-29°C by mid-June. Crete and Rhodes hit 28-32°C. The meltemi wind starts up in late June, especially in the Cyclades — usually welcome cooling, occasionally affects ferry schedules.
Crowd levels — early vs late June
June 1-15: roughly 50-60% of August crowds. Hotels available, restaurants take walk-ins, ferries have space. June 16-30: builds toward 70-80% of August levels as European school holidays begin. Mykonos and Santorini fill noticeably the last week of June.
